Conversion optimization and testing

Find where interested buyers get stuck and test improvements. Levered reviews the page, offer and customer journey, then builds and measures the changes.

From the work

The store worked. Most buyers never reached it.

An industrial company’s store let visitors browse prices and buy without logging in. It lived on another domain, with no cart icon on the main brand site. Only 3.6% of brand-site visitors reached the store, compared with 18.4% for a comparable operator.

The diagnostic compared the business and four competitors using the same scorecard, supported by screenshots and page-source checks. The recommended sequence addressed store visibility, lengthy forms and tracking between domains before increasing media spend.

Diagnostic engagement only. Recommendations were not implemented in this work; no conversion or revenue lift is claimed. The peer comparison is context, not a guaranteed target.

Approach

What the work involves

Scope of work

  1. 1.Review the path from visit to inquiry or order
  2. 2.Prioritize observed friction and tracking defects
  3. 3.Implement and evaluate changes with a suitable test design

What we need to begin

  1. 1.Page and funnel access, event definitions and enough context to interpret behavior

How we evaluate progress

  1. 1.Completed actions and downstream quality; low traffic may limit causal testing
Deliverables

What you get

  • A journey review with observed defects
  • A prioritized change brief
  • A validation plan appropriate to the traffic available
  • A before-and-after change is not automatically a controlled test. Booking and form tests must preserve real routing and avoid unintended submissions.
Example work

Where we might start

Follow a mobile visitor from the campaign page through the form, demo or booking journey. Fix verified friction and check that the destination record is created correctly.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you run a useful test on a low-traffic site?+

Sometimes the first useful work is fixing a broken path or improving measurement. When volume cannot support an experiment, use behavioral evidence and clearly label before-and-after observations rather than claiming a causal lift.

Does a higher form conversion rate always mean success?+

No. Shorter forms may increase volume while reducing qualification. Review actual inquiry quality and sales follow-through alongside completion rate.
