AI Training for a Food Truck Operator: Website and iOS App
A taco truck owner ships his own app
Aaron runs a taco truck in Colorado Springs. He came from finance, not marketing, and he could not afford to hire anyone. We spent one working session teaching him the AI stack instead of doing the work for him. He went on to ship a website, a native iOS app, and a dashboard that lets him change today's special without an App Store update.

The problem
Aaron took the truck to a fixed location in late 2025. The food was good and the concept worked. Foot traffic was the problem, with break-even sitting around $250 to $300 a day. He came out of finance, he is only on site a day or two a week, and there was no budget to hire a marketer. He was running small ads with tracking that could not tell him whether anyone actually showed up. What he needed was not an agency retainer he would have to manage on top of everything else. He needed systems he could run himself.
The fulcrum
The highest-leverage change we could make
With no budget for headcount, the highest-leverage thing we could do was not do the work for him. It was teach him the stack. One working session: how to set up a Cursor harness, how to get his brand into it so everything comes out looking like his, how to iterate on something instead of starting over with every prompt, and how to count a conversion that means a customer walked up rather than someone tapping for directions. That session is a few hours. What it buys is an operator who can build the next thing without calling anyone.
Applying force
What happened, and what we scaled into
He kept building after we hung up, which is the entire point. • A live website and a native iOS app, both shipped by the owner • Ordering through Square, plus push notification tests • A dashboard he controls for daily specials, location, and open or closed • Copy and specials change without an App Store resubmit • A Square ordering path wired into the app rather than bolted on beside it The force multiplier here is not us adding budget. It is that the work compounds without us in the room. He now uses Granova as an on-call expert layer for ads, tracking, and landing page questions, so the next decision does not wait on a meeting. Judge this one by what the operator can ship, not by a return on ad spend figure. This is a training engagement, and we are not going to dress it up as a media result.
Why this matters
Most AI training is a list of prompt tricks. This was teaching someone who does not work in marketing to ship real production tools for his own business. If you cannot hire, the useful thing is not an agency doing the work forever. It is making you genuinely dangerous with the stack. Food trucks, clinics, and operators with a day job all have the same shape of problem: no headcount, real constraints, and a need for systems that run without them. Book a working session at /grow.
Most engagements fail at the handoff between strategy and execution. Levered doesn't hand off — we own both.
